Dear Intermission Magazine (St. Louis Writers),
I have two city-wide community events that you may find of interest.
1) Shakespeare in 7: The 2009 Bard Film Challenge (April 3-5). This film challenge (hosted by Shakespeare Festival St. Louis) is much in the same vein as the 48 Hour Film Project with the exception that the teams are given a random scene from one of Shakespeare’s works and have 49 hours to make it into a short. These shorts are viewed by a panel of judges comprised of St. Louis theatre and film professionals and prizes are awarded to the top teams.
2) The Merry Wives of Windsor in Forest Park (May 20 – June 14). In Shakespeare’s only domestic comedy, laughter reigns supreme and feminine wisdom triumphs over jealous husbands, confused lovers, and one corpulent knight. Free nightly performances (except Tuesdays).
Please find press releases attached for both events. If you have any questions or would like photos, please feel free to contact me directly.
All the best,
